What we publish
Three kinds of work
RESEARCH & ARTICLES
Ideas worth exploring. Research worth sharing. Research & Articles is a space where students and emerging writers can explore important questions, share original ideas, and contribute to meaningful academic discussions.
From in-depth research and analytical articles to thoughtful investigations across different fields of study, we encourage work that challenges perspectives, sparks curiosity, and contributes to a deeper understanding of the world around us. Every submission undergoes an editorial review to support clarity, accuracy, and credibility. Sources and references are included where appropriate, allowing readers to explore the evidence, engage with different perspectives, and discover new ideas. At Hewên, we believe knowledge becomes more valuable when it is shared, questioned, and explored together.
CAMPUS NEWS
Our team is actively involved in campus life, sharing updates on our latest events, initiatives, and activities to keep our community informed and engaged.
We also welcome guest contributions from university professors, lecturers, researchers, professional writers, and other notable individuals. We believe that great writing can come from anyone, regardless of their background or level of experience, and we welcome contributors from all fields and levels of expertise.
STUDENT STORIES
Every student has a story worth sharing. Student Stories is a space dedicated to highlighting the experiences, achievements, and perspectives of students and emerging writers.
From personal journeys and academic milestones to challenges overcome and lessons learned, we believe every experience has the power to inspire, connect, and encourage others. Through student highlights, we recognize outstanding achievements, creative contributions, and meaningful milestones, giving students the opportunity to share their accomplishments and inspire those around them. At Hewên, we believe every voice matters and every story deserves a chance to be heard.
Who we are
How we work
- 01
Students write, editors read
Every piece is written by a student and reviewed by an editor before it is published. No exceptions, no ghost bylines.
- 02
Three languages, one journal
We publish in English, Arabic and Kurdish, and treat each version as a piece of writing rather than a translation exercise.
- 03
Sources stay visible
Research is published with its references, and reporting names where it came from wherever it is safe to do so.
